CPA Allen Alternative. The work behind the names.

The month, payday set up, the statements, and the return sit under the local names.

Ask about the work.

What you can actually hire

The phrase on the door is a way to find us. Under it, the job is ordinary and specific. We close the books every month for owners in Allen. We set payroll up on the provider you already run and hand the login back. We prepare statements from those closed months. We prepare the return once the months and the local filings agree. If you need a signed audit cover for a lender, that cover comes from a firm allowed to issue one. We will say that on the first call, before you spend a month hoping we are something else.

Those titles, Tax CFO and Entrepreneur's CFO, are the ones Steven Palmieri uses. The close still happens on a day we name, with your bank feed and your filings on the screen. A month that ties is the product, and the titles are how you find the person who does that month.

The month, in the order we actually do it

We start from the bank, not from a template. Every deposit needs a story that fits a customer, a sale, or a transfer. Every payment needs a vendor, a wage, a tax, or a loan. Cards and loans get the same treatment, because a beautiful checking account next to a mystery card is not a close. Sales tax collected is agreed to the 20th. Hotel tax, if you have rooms, is agreed to its own 20th. Then the working papers point from each statement line back to those matches.

You get a month you can argue with. We would rather you push on a number in the same week than nod and discover the doubt at filing time. A reconciliation that fails is reported as a failure. We do not tuck it under a plug with a friendly name. The standard is dull on purpose. Dull months are how a return becomes a reading of the year instead of a reconstruction.

Payday without taking the keys

New hires, a first employee, or a move off a messy old provider are the moments we are useful. We help with the registrations, the pay items, and a parallel look at the first runs until the numbers make sense. After that, the provider is yours. You can see the wages, the withholdings, and the deposits. We see them in the books, because a payroll that lives only inside a login we hold is a payroll you do not control. That is the opposite of the setup we sell.

Contractors who work a job in Allen and employees who live elsewhere in the region are not the same fact. We ask which is which, because the books and the wage filings diverge exactly there. A draw for an owner is a third fact, and it is not a wage and not a contractor payment. Owner draws that have been coded as payroll are a common reason a return and a bank balance refuse to meet.

Statements and the return, in that order

Statements come from closed months. If a lender or a buyer wants them, they can read what we prepared, and they will also see that this practice does not put an attest cover on them. The return comes after that, using the same months. We will not prepare a return on a year that is still open in November and December just because a deadline is loud. Loud deadlines are how bad years get filed.

Estimates are part of the work when the year is profitable. They follow the closed months and a conversation about what you still might do. A retirement contribution, a piece of equipment, or an S corporation election can still change the year if the decision is made while the year is open. We will put the choice in front of you with the cash consequence beside it. You decide. The books then match the decision, so the return is not a surprise party.

A first call that can end in a no

Bring the last sales tax filing, the last closed month if one exists, and the name of the payroll provider. We will tell you whether the local pieces are named, whether the bank is reconciled, and whether we should start with a cleanup or with the coming month. If you need someone on site every day, we are the wrong practice. If you need a month, a setup, statements, and a return, we should keep talking. The letter comes before the work. The footer phone reaches the same people the form does.

Steven Palmieri, Tax CFO

You will be talking to the Steven Palmieri practice.

We close the month, set up payroll, prepare the statements, and prepare the return. An audit, a review, or a compilation is signed by a firm that is allowed to put that cover on.
